A closer look at the birds that call Tenelach Tuathanas home

Each month, we feature one of our birds—sharing a bit about the breed, their personality, and the beautiful eggs they provide. Our birds are raised with care, space, and respect, and each one brings something unique to the farm.

Gertrude

Gertrude is the guardian of Tenelach Tuathanas. With her striking blue eyes and elegant white feathers, she watches over the ponds and pathways with calm authority. She keeps close to her flock, guiding the ducks, clearing weeds around the water, and maintaining order with quiet confidence.

She takes her work seriously. Nothing enters her space unnoticed, and nothing leaves without her approval. Yet beneath her protective nature is a deep loyalty to the birds she cares for. She rests beside them, moves with them, and stands between them and anything unfamiliar.

Every farm has a protector. Gertrude is ours.
